The Duluth Rowing Club is holding its annual Death Row on Sunday, September 19, 8:30 a.m. starting at the DRC boathouse.
Because of ongoing concerns with the COVID-19 pandemic, the DRC will hold this year’s event on a 12-mile course either on Lake Superior or Superior Bay, depending on wind direction. As in the past, this year’s event is open to rowers in all types of shells from singles, doubles, and quads to pairs, fours, eights and even octuplets as well as to paddlers in canoes and kayaks.
COVID-19 Safety: We don’t want the event living up to its name. Because of current concerns, only rowers and paddlers who have been vaccinated will be allowed to participate. All participants and spectators must wear masks while on Duluth Rowing Club property. However, once boats are launched, participants can remove masks for the actual race.
Check the Regatta webpage for additional information. Registration materials will be posted soon. DRC members will receive information about setting up boats for the event.
